APPSC Group 3 Syllabus, Exam Pattern, Important Dates

The Group-III scheme APPSC used (degree standard, objective):

The screening test mixed current affairs, science, modern Indian history, the economy, reasoning and the Constitution with topics specific to the job: evolution of Panchayat Raj in India and in AP, the 73rd amendment and committee reports, schemes of the AP Panchayat Raj Department, the rural economy, rural credit, and self-help groups. The bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and its effects was a unit of its own. See the scheme and syllabus.

With no live cycle, the closest open exams are APPSC Group-II, whose Deputy MPDO post is in the same Panchayat Raj department, and any future village secretariat recruitment by the department. The old Group-III papers are still good practice for the Panchayat Raj and rural development portions.

Is there a Group 3 notification in 2026?

No. The last one was 13/2018.

Who recruits panchayat secretaries now?

The 2019 recruitment for Grade-V posts in village secretariats was run by the Panchayat Raj and Rural Development Department, not APPSC.
