Bihar Vidhan Sabha Office Attendant Exam Pattern

Interviews of 100 marks decide selection. The advertisement said an OMR prelim would be added only if applications crossed 40,000, which they did, so a prelim was held on 23 August 2025 to cut the field down for interview. The instruction notice of 11 August 2025 gave the rules for that paper.

Qualifying minimum in the interview: 40 per cent unreserved, 36.5 BC, 34 EBC, 32 for SC, ST, women and disability.

• Matric or equivalent from a recognised board.
• Age on 01.08.2023: 18 minimum; 37 maximum for unreserved men, 40 for unreserved women, BC and EBC, 42 for SC and ST. Candidates with disability get 10 years extra; government servants 5.
• Indian citizen; reservation applies only to Bihar domicile holders.

Prelim (because of the number of applicants), then interview. The merit list comes from interview marks.

Level 1, Rs 18,000 to 56,900 a month plus allowances.

Online. Fee ₹400 for unreserved, BC, EBC and EWS men from Bihar and everyone from outside Bihar, ₹100 for Bihar SC, ST, women and candidates with 40 per cent or more disability.

Prelim cut-offs, published 24 October 2025. The notice gives marks only, with no total.
