CRPF Important Dates and Practice Questions
127 topics across 4 subjects. Every question carries a written explanation.
The Central Reserve Police Force is the largest of the central armed police forces and works under the Ministry of Home Affairs. There is no single "CRPF exam". Each rank is filled through its own route, and some of those routes belong to other bodies: the Staff Selection Commission picks Constables (GD) and Sub-Inspectors for the force, and the Union Public Service Commission picks Assistant Commandants. CRPF itself runs the rest, from its recruitment site rect.crpf.gov.in.
What is open right now is the sports-quota drive for Head Constable and Constable (GD): 521 vacancies, advertised on 17 September 2026, with applications open from 12 October to 11 November 2026.

Selection Process
The stages depend on the rank. Constables and Sub-Inspectors go through the SSC's computer-based paper, then CRPF-conducted physical tests, document checks and a medical exam. Assistant Commandants sit a two-paper written exam at UPSC, then physical tests, an interview and a medical. CRPF's own recruitments for clerical and technical ranks use a computer-based test followed by a skill or trade test, the physical standards test, documents and a medical.
Sportspersons are chosen differently: marks for their medals and level of competition decide the merit list, after a physical standards test and a sports trial.
Each of those routes has its own page on ExamsRepo; the pattern, standards and dates are on the page for the post you want.
Salary
CRPF posts are paid on the 7th Pay Commission matrix, plus dearness allowance, house rent allowance and the other allowances the force admits. Levels seen in CRPF notices:
