DRDO MTS Exam Pattern, Eligibility, Important Dates

The planned scheme had two objective CBTs, each of 90 minutes, with no negative marking:

Tier-I needed 40% (UR, OBC, ESM) or 35% (SC, ST), and ten candidates per vacancy were to go to Tier-II, whose marks alone would decide selection. A new advertisement may change this.

Under the cancelled 2019-20 advertisement:

• Class 10 pass or equivalent, or ITI pass.
• Age 18 to 25, relaxable for reserved categories, ex-servicemen, central government civilian employees and others.
• Indian citizen.

The 1,817 posts were split SC 163, ST 114, OBC 503, EWS 188, UR 849, with 135 for ex-servicemen, 50 for sportspersons and 73 for PwBD.

Pay Level 1, ₹18,000–56,900, plus DA, HRA and other central allowances, under NPS. The 2019 terms required five years at the first posting station before any transfer request.

DRDO has not said when, or whether, it will advertise MTS again.

Is DRDO MTS recruitment open?

No. The only recent round, DRDO Entry Test 2019-20/MTS, was cancelled without an exam.

What qualification did it need?

Class 10 or ITI.

What does MTS pay?

Level 1, ₹18,000 basic plus allowances.
