Gujarat Police Important Dates and Practice Questions
106 topics across 3 subjects. Every question carries a written explanation.
Gujarat Police does not run one exam. Direct recruitment to its Class 3 posts is done by the Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPRB), set up by the Home Department in March 2024. The Board advertises, tests and prepares the select list; OJAS handles the applications.
The posts fall into three groups:
- PSI cadre. Unarmed Police Sub Inspector, Armed PSI (Platoon Commander) and Jailor Group 2. Graduates, age up to 35.
- Lokrakshak cadre. Unarmed and Armed Police Constable, SRPF Constable and Jail Sepoy. Class 12 pass, age 18 to 33.
- Technical cadre. PSI (Wireless), Technical Operator, PSI (Motor Transport) and Head Constable Driver Mechanic. Engineering degree for the wireless posts.
The 2025-26 round (advertisement GPRB/202526/1) asked for 13,591 posts across the PSI and Lokrakshak cadres. Its written tests were held in April and June 2026. A new Lokrakshak round of about 3,000 posts has been announced and had not been advertised when this page was checked.

Selection Process
Every cadre has a written test with negative marking of 0.25 and an "E" option for questions you leave. PSI and Lokrakshak candidates take a qualifying physical test first (5,000 m run in 25 minutes for men, 1,600 m in 9 minutes 30 seconds for women), then the written stage, then document checks. The technical cadre has a written test and document checks. See the separate pages for each post.
How to Apply
Applications are online only, on OJAS for the period in the advertisement. The fee in the last round was ₹100 for general category candidates plus bank charges, with EWS, SC, ST, SEBC and ex-servicemen exempt. Applying for both PSI and Lokrakshak cost ₹200. Photo and signature are uploaded as JPG files under 15 KB each.
