Online, multiple choice, 120 minutes. The language and general papers are set at Class 10 or Class 12 level as the post requires.

The technical paper is set at diploma level and is in English; the other sections are in Marathi and English. Expect surveying, building materials, strength of materials, structures, hydraulics and estimating.

A three-year diploma in civil engineering recognised by the government, or an equivalent qualification. Age 18 to 38 for open and 43 for reserved candidates, with the two-year relaxation for 2023 advertisements. Marathi knowledge and the computer certificate rules follow the other Group C posts.

Merit comes from the online score alone, with no interview. You need at least 45 per cent of the marks to be on the list. Candidates on the provisional list bring original documents to the district selection committee, and the final selection and waiting lists are posted on that district's website.

Pay level S-14, ₹38,600 to ₹1,22,800, plus allowances.

The 2023 fee was ₹1,000 for open category candidates and ₹900 for reserved categories and orphans. It is not refunded. Applications went through the IBPS portal in the advertisement.
