Mess Helpers work in the kitchens of the residential Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas. NVS advertised 442 of these posts in its Direct Recruitment Drive 2024, with NTA taking applications until 14 May 2024.
No exam date for that drive appeared on the NTA page in any archived copy up to August 2025, and the post was left out of the combined KVS/NVS Notification 01/2025. Nothing is open now.

Exam Pattern
The 2024 written test was 120 marks in 2.5 hours, with 0.25 off for a wrong answer:

Those who cleared it were to take a qualifying skill test.
Eligibility Criteria
2024 rules: Class 10 pass, five years of work in the mess of a government residential organisation or school, and a skill test set by NVS. Age 18 to 30. Time spent as a casual labourer in a JNV mess counted towards age relaxation if one spell lasted more than six months.
