A Regular Mazdoor in the Patna High Court is a Group C post at pay Level 1, the court's entry-level support job. The latest recruitment was the Regular Mazdoor Recruitment Examination, 2025 (Advertisement PHC/01/2025, 11 February 2025) for 171 posts.
About 30,000 people sat the written test in June 2025. The final result came on 10 March 2026, filling all 171 posts, and joining and replacement notices ran into September 2026. No new Mazdoor advertisement has been issued since.
The odd part of this post is the education rule: you need Class 8, and you must not hold anything above Class 12.

About 25 times the vacancies are called after the written test. The cycling test is not required for locomotor disabled candidates. Final merit is out of 100. If applications are very high, a 100-mark screening test (Class 8 level questions and life skills) can come first.
Eligibility Criteria
- Minimum Class 8 pass and maximum Class 12 pass. Anyone found to hold a higher qualification, a diploma included, faces termination and criminal prosecution.
- Must know how to ride a bicycle.
- Must name one life skill (cooking, gardening, plumbing and the like) in the form.

Minimum age 18. Category relaxation is for Bihar residents only. Government employees get five more years.
Salary
Level 1 of the Bihar pay matrix, ₹14,800 – 40,300, plus allowances, on one year's probation.
How to Apply
Online only, via the link on the High Court recruitment page. The 2025 window ran from 17 February to 18 March 2025. Fee was ₹700 (UR, BC, EBC, EWS) or ₹350 (SC, ST, OH from Bihar). You picked three exam cities in order of preference.
Exam Centres
The advertisement offered 15 Bihar cities: Aurangabad, Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Bhojpur, Darbhanga, East Champaran, Gaya, Vaishali, Jehanabad, Muzaffarpur, Nalanda, Nawada, Patna, Purnea and Saran. In the event the written test was held only in Patna.

The High Court has no fixed yearly cycle for this post.
Result
Of 3,229 called to interview, 2,234 cleared every stage and form a one-year panel. 320 were knocked out after document checks because they had entered the wrong category, date of birth or gender and failed when re-assessed. Seven selections were cancelled in August 2026 and more replaced for non-joining, so the panel is still being used.
