PSSSB recruits Junior Scale and Senior Scale Stenographers for Punjab government offices. The latest cycle is Advertisement 07 of 2023, dated 4 September 2023, which covered 70 posts: 2 Senior Scale Stenographer (Group B, Legal and Legislative Affairs department), 1 Junior Scale Stenographer (Group C) and 67 Stenotypist posts. The process ran long. The skill test for Junior Scale Stenographer was held on 26 June 2026 and the result went up in September 2026. No new Stenographer advertisement is on the board's site.

Eligibility Criteria
Same for all three posts: a bachelor's degree in any subject, a 120-hour computer course (or DOEACC O level), and matric with Punjabi. Age was counted on 1 January 2023: 18 to 37, with the usual Punjab relaxations (42 for SC and BC residents, 45 for government employees, 47 for persons with disabilities).
Selection Process
There is no written merit paper in the notice for these two posts. Selection is by shorthand skill test, plus document check. Mistakes are counted and the merit list runs from the fewest.

How to Apply
Applications were online only, on the board's website. The fee ladder was Rs 1,000 general, Rs 250 SC, BC and EWS, Rs 200 ex-servicemen and Rs 500 persons with disabilities.

- Last date to apply: 25 September 2023; fee by 27 September 2023.
- Skill test: 26 June 2026 (admit cards on 24 June 2026).
- Skill test result: September 2026.

Result
The Junior Scale Stenographer skill test result of 26 June 2026 lists 132 candidates by roll number with their Punjabi and English mistakes. 66 were absent and 60 did not qualify in either language, so very few cleared both. Result PDF.
Cut Off
No cut-off is published. Qualifying means keeping mistakes within the allowed percentage in each language.
