UKSSSC Stenographer Personal Assistant Details
Exam Pattern
| Stage | Detail |
|---|---|
| Written exam | Objective, 100 questions, 100 marks, 2 hours (General Hindi, general knowledge, general studies) |
| Shorthand and typing test | Qualifying only |
Only candidates in the merit list, up to four times the number of vacancies, are called for the shorthand and typing test.
Syllabus
The approved scheme of 25 August 2026 uses a single general paper. Hindi, general knowledge, general studies and Uttarakhand knowledge make up the 100 marks; the syllabus PDF lists the topics. The paper does not test your shorthand, which is examined in the second stage.
Eligibility Criteria
The base is Class 12 from the UP or Uttarakhand school board, or an equal exam. On top of that the posts need Hindi shorthand at 80 words a minute and Hindi typing at 4000 key depressions an hour (the Industrial Tribunal posting spells this out; check yours). Age is 18 to 42 in the Industrial Tribunal listing, with the state's relaxation for reserved groups. Territorial Army service of two years, an NCC B or C certificate, or a graduate degree gets preference among otherwise equal candidates.
Selection Process
There are two stages. The written exam sets a merit list, and four times the vacancies are then called for the qualifying shorthand and typing tests.
