Selection Process
October 2024: merit comes from the test, and the shortlisted are called for document verification. If you fail verification, you are out. Ties go first to the higher Section 1 score, then the older candidate, then alphabetical order, then the higher nursing percentage. Everyone who applied in January 2024 was carried over without applying again.
January 2024 had no test. Merit was 17 for Class 10, 17 for Class 12 and 51 for nursing marks, out of 85, plus up to 15 for COVID duty (5 for six months, 10 for a year, 15 for eighteen months). The test route also gives those COVID marks, only to candidates who reach the minimum score.
Salary
October 2024: Rs 25,000 a month plus up to Rs 10,000 a month of performance incentive. January 2024: Rs 20,500 plus up to Rs 15,000. Contracts are yearly, renewable on good performance, with no claim to a regular post. You sign a Rs 2.5 lakh bond on Rs 100 stamp paper to serve at least three years at a sub centre.
How to Apply
Online only on upnrhm.gov.in. The application fee was nil. You must rank all 75 districts, and posting follows merit and preference with no right to a particular district. Use one mobile number and one email through the whole process.
