UP police computer operator Eligibility, Important Dates

Under the 2011 service rules, Grade-A needs Intermediate with physics and mathematics plus the DOEACC 'O' level certificate in computers, or a diploma in computer science, information technology or electronics from the UP Board of Technical Education (or an equivalent). Age is 18 to 28 on 1 July of the recruitment year, with extra years for reserved categories. Preference goes to Territorial Army service, an NCC 'B' certificate or a recognised computer hardware and networking course.

Programmer Grade-2, the other direct post, fills half its posts directly and half by promotion from Grade-C. The rules do not set the exam stages; each advertisement does.
