Part I needs 20 marks or Part II is not marked, and it adds nothing to merit. In Part II you need 33.5 per cent, which is 67 of 200.

The advertisement doesn't print a syllabus. Part I is the NIELIT CCC course. The 150-mark technical section is the electrician trade: wiring, circuits, machines, transformers, measuring instruments, safety, and distribution and line work.

• Education: Class 10 from the UP board or equal, with science and maths, plus a regular two-year NCVT/SCVT certificate in Electrician, Electrical, or Electrical (Power Distribution under Skill Development). Distance or experience-based equivalents are not accepted.
• Age: 18 to 40 on 1 January 2022. Five years more for SC, ST, OBC (NCL) and freedom fighter dependants of Uttar Pradesh. Ex-servicemen get their service plus three years, to 15 at most. Apprentices get their training period, up to two years.

Reservation is only for original residents of Uttar Pradesh. The advertisement set no posts aside for persons with disabilities.

Merit is on the 200 marks of Part II alone. The Commission calls up to two times the vacancies for document verification. Ties go first to anyone who did an apprenticeship under the Apprentices Act, then to the older candidate. There is no interview or skill test in this advertisement.

Pay Matrix Level 4, ₹27,200 to ₹86,100, plus allowances. 891 posts split 357 unreserved, 241 OBC, 187 SC, 17 ST and 89 EWS.

UPPCL has not printed cut-off marks for this post in the advertisement, and the notices on the Vacancy/Results page give selected lists rather than the last mark. Part II needs 67 of 200 to stay in, the only printed bar.

• Three-quarters of the marks come from the technical paper. Revise ITI theory first.
• Clear the CCC part with a short course revision. Twenty of fifty is enough.
• Collect caste and domicile certificates early; verification is by original documents.
