Assistant Accountants for the Internal Audit and Accounts Directorate of Uttar Pradesh, and one post at the State Legal Services Authority, are chosen by the UPSSSC together with Auditors. The last completed round is Advertisement No. 03-Exam/2024 on PET-2023: 668 Assistant Accountant posts on general selection, 950 on special selection, and one at the Legal Services Authority.
The final result was approved on 12 August 2026. A fresh round, Advertisement No. 14-Exam/2026 for Auditor and Assistant Accountant on PET-2025, has its main exam proposed for 20 December 2026.

UPSSSC Assistant Accountant Details
Selection Process
PET score card first, then the main written exam, which the Commission schedules separately for each advertisement. Every UPSSSC main exam now runs on the two-tier system: you need the score card of the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) tied to that advertisement, and shortlisting is on the normalized PET score.

Result
For 03-Exam/2024 the Commission's notice of 30 September 2026 says 1,643 candidates were selected against 1,828 posts across the Assistant Accountant and Auditor cadres. Thirty-nine of them were included only provisionally, pending checks of their certificates, and were called to the Commission's office in Lucknow on 17 October 2026.
