A Gantt chart shows the activities as bars against time, but it does not show clearly how the activities depend on each other, so it does not show well how a delay in one activity affects another activity or the total duration. Network diagrams (such as PERT and CPM) join the activities by their dependencies, and so show the effect of any delay on the activities that follow it and on the project duration. The options that call either statement false are rejected.
