Flat rate tariff is charged on what basis?

Answer: B
A flat rate tariff is charged on the basis of units consumed.
Under a flat rate tariff every unit of energy is charged at the same fixed rate, though different classes of consumer (lighting, power and so on) may pay different rates. The bill is simply the number of units consumed multiplied by that rate, which needs only an energy meter.
A charge based only on connected load is the flat demand tariff, and charges combining a demand component with energy are two-part or maximum demand tariffs.
